The Turiyian Republican Army for Independence ( In Turkish: Turiyian Cumhuriyetçi Bağımsızlık Ordusu) or the TRAI, commonly known as the Turiyian Freedom Liberators is a Turkish-Ethic based sepratist militia that sought for a free, seprated and indepedent Turiyia from Kamilistan after a year or two of the Kashar-Lenokov invasion made by the Pontician Goverment,which start the Kashar Lenokov Conflict and that time, the Kamilistani Goverment had already fought with TRAI insurgents in the Turiyian Region, during which the Revolutionary Kamilistani Communist Party was in full rule in that era, stressing out of the Turiyian Culture (which is similar to Turkish), language, and the nation itself. The group was listed as an terrorist group by Kamilistan, and 54 other country.
TRAI operations begen in the late 1980s as the Turiyian Group of Unity (( Turkish: Birlik için Turiyian Grub)) or TGU, it was an insurgents and sepratist group they fought against the rulling communist goverment of Kamilistan, and to join Turkey, while others wanted an free Turiyian State. They held small attacks on checkpoints, police outpost and convoys, the fighting was small and tiny, as most attacks were held in rural areas and small towns like Erazshiln and Rezeceslian. It all started when police officals arrested Yildirim Ibrahimoglu, an Turiyian Activist and a member of the Turiyian Freedom Party, before ending the young activist life in the Tesmasvin Police Station in Tesmasvin. This attack receive major outroar from the ethic-Turiyian (Turksih) population which sparked the Turiyian Crises, this was also when the TGU make a statement to the Kamilistani Communist Goverment that it will 'Do what they are meant to do for the sake of the people of Turiyia, and the state itself, and shall uphold that till the end'
The group receive popularity by pro-Turiyian civilians, and recruiting started in rural areas before they started in major cities, it renamed itself from the TGU (Turiyian Group of Unity) to the now called Turiyian Republican Army of Independece or TRAI, conflict escalated 1990s onwards as the Pontician Goverment backed them with fundings and supplies, and promised them they will 'Protect and help them when they are in needs', major attacks in Turiyia begen in 1993 as the TRAI have made car bomings on their specific targets, mostly on police or army personal, this was made as an retaliating made by the Kamilistani People's Revolutionary Army for the major crackdown, abusing and torturing Turiyian civilians. On July the 19th, 1996, the Rozairkami-Ashlan Salimed Shootout occured in the city of Qarazagir, 2 K.M away from Tesmasvin, the shootout occured in the streets of Rozairkami-Ashlan to Salimed when a group of 3 military convoys were driving through the street, and a group of TRAI Militia throwed molotov at the convoy, aswell a grenade on the 1st truck in the convoy, the shootout was started, and civilians was caught in the crossfire, atleast 12 troops died, 5 TRAI Miltia, and 23 civilians. This lead to the Kamilistani to be designated as a terriost group, along with 54 other country. This caused the U.N to get involved as peacekeeping forces, with Russian Forces presence act as backed troops for the Kamilistani, aswell as INGOs.
