The Constitution of the Federation of Satavia is the foundational legal doccument of Satavia. First drafted in 1816, it layed out the legal framework required under Estmerish law to officially federate the Satavian Colonies to form the Dominion of Satavia. The act also outlines the powers of the Federal Government, Provincial Governments, Judiciary and Legislature.
The constitution has been ammended 13 times since it was introduced in 1816. The constitution does not require a public referendum to be amended.

Preamble
[1st October 1816]
WE the people of the Hope, Orange, East River and New Borland colonies have by the grace and guidance of god, united under one banner as humble servants of the Crown of Estmere. Be it therefore enacted by the King's most excellent majesty in this assembled parliament as follows:
Section I: Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Satavia Act
Section II: Proclamation of the Dominion
The Crown of Estmere proclaims the Dominion of Satavia to be a free and sovereign state within the Estmerish Empire and Crown.
