Valloria, officially the Vallorian Socialist Commonwealth (Vallorian: Mancomunitat Socialista Valloriana) is a sovereign state located entirely in South-Eastern Vestrim, located on the planet Aeia. Valloria borders the Auberçon Mountains to the North and North-East, Motsvara to the North-West, Meithtalamh to the North-East and the Opal Ocean to the South and South-East. Valloria is the Fourth Largest Nation on the Vestric Continent, behind Meithtalamh but just ahead of Motsvara.
Valloria City, often simply called Valloria, acts as the Capital City and Seat of Government in the Nation. Other Major Urban Areas Include Tolleria, Santiasa, Amozela, Marbella, Aguera, Tolenca, Baluz and Valabrada.
Valloria is a Secular Semi-Direct Democracy and Libertarian Socialist Confederation, ruled by the Vallorian Peoples Congress under the de-facto leadership of President Eva Caballería.
Etymology
The region which makes up Valloria has been historically referred to by a number of names. The Local Mikasi people, who had inhabited the rivers of Valloria for thousands of years, had originally used the name Weushane to refer to the whole continent with this name now being used to specifically refer to Valloria among its remaining local Mikasi population.
Soon after Azurans first discovered Vestrim, the Veleazian Explorer known as Juan Manuel Gutiérrez was among the first to chart the region that would become Valloria. He would name this land "La Costa Azul" due to its natural beauty and similarities to the climate of the nations surrounding the Azuran Sea.
During the Azul Revolution and following the fall of Elvarica, the revolutionaries would declare the creation of the Vallorian Commune, named after Màrius Vallori who was a primary leader in the revolution and one who personally oversaw the capture of the important trade city. Elvarica would first be renamed to Valloria, with the commonwealth as a whole also taking the name following its creation.
