Vang Lan (Namorese: Цанг Лан) is the current Head of State of the Autonomous Republic of Txotai, and the head of Txotai's Autonomous Government. Prior to being elected, he was the Head of the Public Security Department of Txotai Prefecture, which was then part of Shanpei District (before the two became autonomous republics).
As Head of Txotai, Vang has been praised and credited for bringing stability to the region, which had long been plagued by ethnic violence; on the other hand, he has come under heavy criticism from the international press and Namor, due to alleged corruption and human rights violations. The Otekian Independence Movement and the Knights of Saint Luther regard him as the "arch-participant in the eradication of the Otekian heritage."
