"Vita in libertate, vel mors" ("Life in freedom, or death"), is the national motto of Amathia, having been adopted in its current form in 1980, being included in the 1981 Amathian constitution. It is the Solarian version of a stanza from Awaken thee, Amathian!, the Amathian national anthem.
