Worlds of the Imperial and Federal Union

The Imperial and Federal Union controls a large number of worlds in the Aquila Cluster of the Milky Way Galaxy. These worlds are broken into large astrogrphic regions: the Imperial Main, the Valtelline, the Enlisian Mark, the Astral Palatinate, the Reichswald, the Nakabe Prefecture, and the Talosian Expanse. In addition to these concentrated worlds, the R.u.B Union has other possession that lay outside the main astrographic regions. These worlds usually represent distant,

Spitzesland

Spitzesland is one of the worlds of the Enlisian Mark, the fourth world around the star of Fortunato. Spitzesland itself is classified as a Dead World, with the surface rendered uninhabitable by the Guilder's Doom in 800 P.L. The majority of the population resides on Spitzesland's moon of Montressor, as well as a series of orbital habitats and plates known as the Steel Crescent.

Like many of the other Enlisian worlds, Spitzesland is a major industrial centre, with the Steel Crescent featuring the largest concentration of capital and superheavy capable slipways in the whole of the R.u.B Union. In addition, the surface of Spitzesland itself is one of the finest sources of chymetic condensations in the R.u.B Union, second only in quality and volume to the mines of the Valetlline.

Nakabe Prefecture

Nakabe

Nakabe is the capital world of the Nakabe Prefecture, and one of the most densely populated worlds in the R.u.B Union. Nakabe proper is a small and dense world, approximately .33 Terras in mass, but dense enough to maintain near standard gravity. Nakabe orbits the red giant star Amaterasu, but is located far enough away from the star that it remains in the habitable zone.

Due to its small size and great population, almost every landmass in Nakabe has been completely urbanised, with the only natural areas being a few carefully preserved and managed parks and gardens. The sheer mass of population also means that, despite heavy investment in urban food production, Nakabe is incapable of meeting its daily food requirements, and thus requires a constant stream of imports to maintain its own population.

Nakabe is a major economic centre of the R.u.B Union. Nakabe is the most industrialised and developed world rimward of the Lusatian Veil. Nakabe's population and economic output dwarf the remaining the worlds of the Nakabe Prefecture, with nearly 75% of GDP being produced on Nakabe proper.

Other

These worlds lie outside the established regions of the R.u.B Union, and are ruled independently. These worlds are usually considered special cases, and are controlled for special purposes.

Karlstern

Karlstern is the R.u.B Union's endpoint for the Twin Eagles Trade Corridor. Located coreward of the Valtelline, between the R.u.B Union and the Imperial Star Republic, Karlstern itself is sparsely populated, with only small mining sites on the world's surface. More importantly are the world's orbital installations and dockyards, which provide the primary entry point for goods from the Twin Eagles Trade Corridor into the R.u.B Union.

Cordel

Cordel is an Old Terran colonial world in Deep Delta, located rimward and spinward of the Talosian Frontier. As a key world on the Corvus Spur, linking the R.u.B Union with trading partners throughout the Delta and Gamma quadrants. Cordel provides a key staging area and port facilities that support both large scale Navy and Aerospace Troops patrols into surrounding space, as well as merchant shipping travelling the Corvus Spur. In addition, Cordel is a major source of high quality and rare chymetic condensates, boasting some of the richest planetary deposits of such materials in known space. However, despite this wealth, the majority of Cordel's surface is only sparsely populated, due to an unusually hostile and aggressive ecosystem. Major settlements are limited to a few Safe Zones, with populations outside these Zones being at constant risk from the planet's natural fauna. As such, the R.u.B Union has invested heavily in expanding the Safe Zones, and creating new ones.

Cordel is home to several Federal member states, as well as a Noble Estate. Despite the accession of these worlds to Contract & Charter of Union, several of the Cordellian member states have been resistant to R.u.B control, and are suspected of reaching out to other secessionist groups throughout the R.u.B Union in order to foment political turmoil.
