Xavier I (June 22, 1769-October 12, 1846) was the first King of Azureria after the East Blue-Sol War ended in 1795.

The eldest son of the minor noblemen Carlos Zayis-Celestia, Xavier grew up during a chaotic period in the nation's history, called the Endless Times. Xavier fought for East Blue during the East Blue-Sol War, but thanks to his marriage to the Solarian King's Brothers daughter, Xavier was granted freedom when he was captured after the Battle of Sariu. After the Solarian victory, Emperor Jae-Seo VII picked Xavier to become King of the new client state, Azureria. He is considered the father of the modern nation of Azureria and was a liberal Monarch, stating a constitutional monarchy is what the people wanted and need.

Early Life

Born as the eldest son of the minor noblemen Carlos Zayis-Celestia on June 22, 1769, Xavier grew up during a chaotic period in the nation's history, called the Endless Times. His family could barely pay for food and water, and had to sell their estate to move closer into the capital city of East Blue, Daxis. Most of his childhood consisted of spending time going to school and the linen factory. It was hard work and made Xavier an advocate of workers rights at a young age. He did have a mentor called Julios Mendos, an army captain and family friend. Julios inspired Xavier to work towards a military career after seeing Julios at military camp while on a visit where he shot a target from 50 yards away while on horseback. Xavier proceeded to work hard to save up money to both support his family and to support his dream of becoming a military officer. After 2 years of hard work, at the age of 14, Xavier saved enough money to go to the Royal Academy of the Military to begin training as a Cavalry Officer. It would take 8 years for Xavier to graduate from the Royal Academy.

Once Xavier graduated from the Royal Academy in 1791, he married a noblewomen named Aloia Celestia, a member of the Celestia Dynasty. This marriage would help him in the future when becoming King. He was assigned as Captain of the Royal Blue Mounted Infantry Brigade as his first and only position in the East Blue Army. He led the Brigade through crushing revolts and surpressing riots. One of the riots was the Kikia Riots that people were upset with the rise of bread and grain prices and wanted the prices to go down to Pre-Inflation levels. Xavier was incharge of keeping the rioters at bay between North Street and Willi Ave, as the rioters were close to the bread production factory in the city. It was only when protesters shot warning shots, that scared Xavier's unit and they opened fired of the rioters. This would be marked as the Willi Scene, a defining moment in what Xavier called a realization of what the nation does to its people.
