The Ynzebsbruj (pronounced /ˈʏn.ʒebz.bɾoiʝ/) or Unity Bridge, formerly known as the Sankerbruj, is the longest bridge in Vyvland, and one of the longest in Esquarium by main section span. It is a suspension bridge connecting Juevel on the island of Greetmion with the Vyvlander mainland at the town of Blangklaan via road (A11 motorway) and rail (Maanro-Persi line). It was constructed in the early 1970s under the South Vyvlander leader Erman Sanker, after whom it was originally named. The bridge's construction was widely heralded as a success story, being completed in only three years, although it is widely suspected that forced labour was used, in addition to the Vyvlander Public Works Force, comprised of unemployed males. Concerns about the bridge's safety and durability were first raised in the 1980s, although the replacement of the suspension cables and reinforcement of the turrets on either side mitigated these. In 2004, a toll of µ0.20 was introduced on all vehicles traversing the bridge, although this has proved highly controversial as, since the ending of the ferry service in 2007, the bridge is the only way for vehicular transport to access Greetmion.
