Zephyr Smits (9 July 1998) is a Basel-Ebelian soldier and former mercenary currently serving in Task Force 141 as part of the Basel-Ebelian contingent.
As a boy, Zephyr is fond of often discovering new things. He would often sometimes go into the woodlands to find various treasures. This developed his sense of scouting. As a result, Zephyr later on became a member of the Boy Scouts Association of Basel-Ebel. It was here where he learned the importance of discipline and patriotism. He was later on taken in by Vashyron Constantine, who was a mercenary taking odd and sometimes ridiculous jobs. Zephyr's navigation skills helped Vashyron in their jobs. Later on, the duo rescued Leanne Namiko from a burning orphanage and took her in to their outfit.
Later on, they were offered a position in the army that paid them more than they were earning every month. As a result, they accepted and began to accustom themselves to military practices. The trio were later on invited by then-General Kiriya Kitagawa for a new task force that he created. They accepted and are currently a part of Task Force 141's reconnaissance team.
Zephyr is often known for teasing Leanne. But he would later admit that it his only way to show his affection for her. This affection was returned and they became lovers.
