Members of cabinet bear responsibility if they are selected and accept the nomination to be elevated to the position, any cabinet nominations must be approved by the Legislative Branch by a majority vote in Parliament.
Legislative
The Legislative branch is what creates bills, motions and acts as the voice of the people within The Republic of Pentium. There are 390 seats that represent the interests of Pentians across the nation, having roughly one seat per 100,000 people. Several parties exist within the halls of Parliament, however the majority of seats within Pentium have been independent MPs focused on representing the interests of their towns or communities. The Legislation has the sole authority to approve nominated candidates for higher offices, revoke presidential vetos and impeach the President or his Cabinet members should they act against the interest of the Republic and its people.
Judicial
The Judicial branch has far less ties to the Legislation, however it acts as the highest legal authority in the Republic and has the ability to strike down legislation that it deems against the constitution or violates the freedoms and rights of Pentian citizens. Its members are appointed to their positions, which requires a vote in Parliament to have them put onto the seats of the court, of which there are 7. The justices must have an education in law, and experience in the field before they can be entered as candidates.
Regional Governments
The Regional governments of Pentium are 9 smaller governments that work with the federal government to maintain services and coverage for federal and regional initiatives. These regional governments have the authority to write their own local legislation, enforce federal and regional law with their own regional enforcement agents. They are also responsible for education, environmental regulation, agriculture and infrastructure. These governments elect their own representatives that operate a regional government to oversee the people and the responsibilities laid out for them by the federal government. To pay for these initiatives, the regional governments are authorized to levy taxes and will receive federal funding to assist in meeting their goals. They follow a similar system to the three branches of the federal system, but at a lower level of authority.
Municipal Governments
Municipal governments are countless, but are typically managed by a council and mayor that works to maintain local roads, hydro, police and fire services, garbage disposal and public transportation. They are also approved to levy taxes, but only on certain items and things. They are also able to receive federal funding for projects and goals, and will typically interact with both regional and federal governments on a regular basis.
Foreign Relations
Pentium has been in isolation for many years, but has opened itself up for trade and negotiations in the last few decades after its recovery from its civil war. Hisera has proved to be a lucrative trading partner and friendly state on the Argic continent. Pentium is currently on the ANSC as a temporary member, and is a member state of the Assembled Nations. Military and Peacekeeping
The Warden Defense Corp is the armed forces of The Republic of Pentium, beyond its domestic responsibilities the WDC is not currently engaged in any deployments beyond peacekeeping at the moment. Mostly due to its current extensive modernization plans, and long standing lack of funding. It has been roughly a year since funding has been reapproved for the military past allowing further degradation. The nation employs a 215,000 active duty professional volunteers and a further 315,000 reservists who can be called upon during times of war or natural disaster. It is split into 3 branches that operate with each other. The Warden Land Army, Warden Navy and Warden Airforce and has recently begun receiving 36.25 Billion in funding to modernize the nation's defense capabilities.
Having recently been selected as a temporary member of the ANSC, the Warden Defense Corp has deployed 5000 soldiers to Velaharia after its governmental collapse and reformation as a democratic state to assist in restoring order, distributing aid and ensuring a peaceful transition of power.
Economy
The Republic of Pentium has a well developed mixed market economy, the worlds 18th largest economy as of 2024. Despite a period of unrest, the Pentian Economy has recovered and returned in force. It is excelling in natural resources, agriculture, manufacturing with contributions from service industries, tourism, IT and energy. The Pentian has seen large boosts in recent years from previous administrations and new trade deals in Hisera, with Pentian construction companies beginning to contribute more frequently to the economy from domestic and international contracts. With new regulations coming into assist in keeping the market competitive.
The Central Bank of Pentium keeps a good handle on managing inflation, interest rates and monetary policy. Corruption was rising in the last few years up until the civil war, many people who believed they could get ahead in the chaos with little repercussion were proven wrong, causing corruption to drop to a low level.
Trade with Hisera after the agreement to open up each others markets and provide assistance to several industries has grown Pentium's global market access and opened new markets to sell products to, from both nationalized and privatized businesses, the lessened tariffs have encouraged businesses to export more and import more for cheaper. Allowing the economies of both nations to grow modestly.
Demographics

The main drivers of population growth are natural growth, many people have felt a renewed sense of hope in their nation and since the civil war things have been generally going well and steady. Ethnicity

Language
There are 3 widely spoken languages within Pentium. Pentian is the main spoken language and the only official language within the nation, spoken by the majority of the population. It is the language that all services are offered in by default and is the mother tongue of 75% of the population. Anglish is another commonly spoken language among Pentians, typically as a second language especially within the larger cities where tourism is greatest and can be best used to help people enjoy their time in Pentium. It is also somewhat familiar to the Pentian language. The last commonly spoke language is Mesean, a minor language that exists mostly in the south of the nation.
