The United Democratic Republics of Songai is a country on Eurth ruled by President Kass. The government meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Morgance. Songai's national animal is the blond tailed fox.

The United Democratic Republics of Songai is a huge, efficient nation, ruled by President Kass and Vice President McGee with a fair hand, and renowned for its smutty television and aversion to nipples. The compassionate, hard-working, democratic population of 958 million Songians hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

The relatively small, liberal, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Industry, Education, and Welfare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Morgance. The average income tax rate is 17.4%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Songian economy, worth 97.6 trillion Songian Dollars a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Tourism industry, with significant contributions from Retail, Book Publishing, and Trout Farming. Average income is an impressive 105,812 Songian Dollars, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.5 times as much as the poorest.

Lumberjacks only use certified eco-friendly chainsaws, census workers struggle to account for the rapidly increasing number of citizens to tabulate, Jennifer Government is a bestseller, and school children are expected to know the names of all seven hundred native tribes and their cultural practices. Crime is totally unknown. Songai's national animal is the Blond Tailed Fox, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Article 1: Prime Minister Draga speaks up after protest in downtown Morgance. “This is complete chaos. These protests have destroyed some of the nations most historical monuments.”, he said. A protester known as Loral Robb also spoke up, “We can not let the government get away with this any more. I demand that the senate amends the constitution to raise political freedoms. Sure President Kass and Vice President McGee raised them ages ago, but it didn’t go far enough. Let us be free in the political world.” These protesters have inspired others too. For example asexual people have started protesting in Zan’Kun City. Doctors have advocated for prohibition and a ban on smoking, generals in the military have demanded an increased budget, and socialists have protested for a change on how to economy runs. There have been proposals to impeach President Kass, but none have got to the senate. While The United Democratic Republics are weakened, enemies of Songai have the perfect option to strike. Members of the council have readied missile silos on the coast in case of an attack.

Article 2(Submitted by State Saud: I have limited views of how other nations should move forward. What they do is not much of my concern. Their political system, religions, traditions, music choice, customs, laws, quirks and whatever more makes them unique is all for themselves. I can judge from an outside perspective but who am I to criticize them or be suspicious of them? I might even respect or embrace them if they suit my fancy. However there are limits. In terms of human rights violations I am very adamant in my criticism. Those points I mentioned earlier; take religion for example. Perfectly fine if people believe in a deity, maybe even multiple. But when religion plays a major role in a nation and starts to suppress certain groups of individuals, be they of a different sex, sexual orientation or other religions, that is where I draw the line.

When it comes my focus for improvement for my country itself, I have laid out several initiatives. All of them already implemented and I will name a few examples. Firstly, the offense on corruption. As a nation with an autocratic regime it is inevitable to have corruption. The amount of strings you need to pull are numerous and without a democratic election, integrity is hard to keep up. However I have recently seen a massive drop in corruption. Secondly, the promotion and recognition of sexualities. Homosexuality, bisexuality, pansexuality, transsexuality, asexuality and so forth. This require a well-funded education system and no zero interference of religious or superstitious groups. Sex education is therefore a must. Expose those young ones as soon as their ages reach the double digits. With the obvious exception of bestiality and pedophilia of course. Those are not sexualities, those are mental illnesses. I can name a couple more but I do not wish to stain paper with them. Third and finally, the continuation of the autocracy. Under my regime, without sounding too self-complimentary or god forbid having an oversized ego, State Saud has prospered. And although we are not perfect, we are getting there. And of course securing the transition to my successor. No democratically elected individual here. We don't do that here.

If your are interested in sending in a response, please send in a brief overview on how you would like nations to move forward and change, and how you would like to improve your nation. I would also like you to tell me the leading industries in your nation and how you got there.
