The Carcano is a family of Archadian bolt-action rifles introduced in 1895, with the carbine version introduced in 1924. Introduced in 1895, this rifle was chambered for the rimless 6.5×52mm Carcano cartridge (Cartuccia Modello 1895). It was developed by the chief technician, Antonio Carcano at the Turin Army Arsenal in 1890 and called the Modello (model) 95 or simply M95. The M91 was used in both rifle (fucile) and shorter-barreled carbine (moschetto).

The Carcano was also exported to the Guadosalam Federation, Empire of Quenmin, Midgar Federation, Rumania and the Liberl Kingdom. The Carcano also proved to be the Quenminese basis for the Trinh-Hoang 91-13.
