Local elections were held across Vyvland on the 30th September 2015. The elections chose the members of all seventeen Provincial Diets of Vyvland, all 1058 municipal councils, and to other elected local authorities and positions.

The elections saw gains across Provincial Diets for all main parties but the Liberal Party, which fell from second to fourth place, and the National Party, which stayed level at 280 seats overall.

Provincial elections

Elections were held to all seats in all seventeen of Vyvland’s Provincial Diets. These elections' biggest winners by number of seats were the Greens, Capitalist-Libertarian Party and Socialist Party all of which gained disproportionately from the demise of the Liberals. The Christian Democratic and Conservative Party retained its top position overall, although this time it also gained the most votes; in 2011 it had been narrowly beaten on vote share by the Liberals. The Socialist Party's consistent nationwide gains were partially offset by large losses in Welland, where a bestiality scandal in 2012 slashed the party's popularity and prompted the split of the Welland Social Democrats.

Municipal elections

The patterns were much less clear in Vyvland’s municipal elections, which have traditionally been more dominated by local issues and more successful for independents and localist parties. However, many of the election’s major patterns, such as large losses by the Liberals, were followed in municipal elections, particuarly those in major cities.

Major cities

Vlud

In Vlud, the Liberal Party was wiped from its spot of near-equal to the Conservative Party into third place behind a resurgent Socialist Party. The Greens also made gains. Contrary to in many areas, the Capitalist-Libertarian Party losts seats in Vlud due to its unpopular presence in a left-leaning coalition with the Liberals and Socialists. After one term out of office, KDC headed a new administration in coalition with the Capitalist-Libertarians and Vlud City Interest.

Jesel

Jesel’s City Council remained generally stable, with the notable exception of the Liberal Party which fell from being the third-largest party to the fifth-largest and more than halved its seat total. The localist Jesel City Alternative continued to grow, doubling in size. The Socialist Party formed a coalition with the United Left and Greens with the implicit support of the Liberal Party.
