The men's and women's wrestling events were won by the Ulan Bator and Khovd teams, respectively, while Samarqand and Ürümqi won the men's and women's horse racing events, respectively, and Lhasa and Kharkorin won men's and women's archery, respectively. The host team of Korla did not win any events. The sporting events were attended by foreign dignitaries, including India's Narendra Modi and Japan's Fumio Kishida. After the games, the foreign dignitaries met with the Bogd Gegeen.
