Raxakan (Born 17 April 1852, died 26 April 1933) was a Mutulese military officer, administrator, and royal prince. He was the second son of the K'uhul Ajaw B'alijaj Chan K'awiil II and also his lastborn. He studied at the Military School of K'alak Muul before joining the military as a Poptun, the equivalent of a Colonel. After six years he was promoted to the rank of Ajaw K'atun which he would keep until he was nominated by his niece to the position of Viceroy of K'umakah in 1901. He would be maintained in this position until his death in 1933.
Because of an agreement between his father and grandfather, Raxakan ended up not being counted among the members of the Ilok'tab Lineage. His grandfather was the oldest son in his own family, but agreed when marrying Lady Ik' Jol that his sons would be counted among the Ilok'tab and that instead the House of Achipop would be inherited by his younger brother. Unfortunately, said brother died and B'alijaj Chan K'awiil II was an only child. It was then agreed that B'alijaj oldest son would continue the Ilok'tab Dynasty, while his second son would carry on the name of the Achipop Lineage.
The modern Second House of Achipop is thus a branch of the Ilok'tab Dynasty and they count Raxakan as their dynastic ancestor. They are still influential in the politics of the Divine Kingdom, and most of them are counted among the Dynastic Relatives of the K'uhul Ajaw at K'alak Muul' court.
