Dahrzor United Football Club is a professional men's association football club based in Dahrzor, Qal'eh, that competes in the Qal'eh National League, the highest tear of Qalehi football. Nicknamed "the Angels" due to their full white home kit, the club was founded in 1927 and moved to its current arena, the Omid Yazdan Arena, after its completion in 1977.
Dahrzor United have won the third-most QNL titles of any club to play in the league, with ten titles to their name. The club has also won the Qal'eh Cup a record 19 times. In 2019, Dahrzor United became the first club in Qalehi history to win the QNL three times in a row. Dahrzor United have competed in the FFA Champions Cup more times than any other club in Qalehi history.
Under current manager Gjermund Nordmark, who has managed the club since 1999, Dahrzor United have won all ten of the league titles, and 11 of their 19 Qal'eh Cup titles.
Dahrzor United is the most valuable club in the QNL, with revenues estimated at around $110 million annually. In 2010, the club was bought by Navish businessman Erik Hovet, who invested heavily in the club and allowed it to increase its transfer budget to secure its place at the top of the league. Dahrzor United spent $68.6 million in the 2010-11 transfer window, the most of any club in Qalehi history.
The club has a fierce rivalry with its successful rivals, Al-Nadja, who have won the league the most times, at 22 titles. The rivalry is referred to as the Reqs Tatan ("Dance of the Titans"), and has regularly resulted in acts of violence and hooliganism. Out of the 112 league matches the two clubs have played, Dahrzor United have only won 48 of them.
The highest-capped player in the QNL, as well as the highest-capped player for the Qal'eh national football team, Omid Afshar, spent all 17 years of his career at Dahrzor United, playing as captain for 13 of them. A statue of Afshar's iconic finger-point celebration stands outside the Hashemi End entrace of the Omid Yazdan Arena, and was erected in 2009.
