Miyashita Industries (Miranian: 宮下 重工業 Miyashita Jūkōgyō) is a Gylian group of companies active in a variety of industries, primarily heavy industry.

Established by Kanna Miyashita in 1990, the group is known for deliberately cultivating a keiretsu image, pursuing a strategy of vertical integration, and its focus on clean technology and green jobs. It is one of Gylias' largest industrial groups, and a key participant in the Social Partnership Program.

History

Miyashita Industries was established by Kanna Miyashita in 1990. She was already involved in a few companies, and convinced them to join together in a cooperative federation.

The group adopted a strategy of vertical integration, making an effort to follow the keiretsu model within the bounds of Gylian law and economic organisation. It focused its activites on clean technology and green jobs, fitting the environmentally-conscious changes in the economy.

It built a close cooperation with the government through the Social Partnership Program, becoming a principal private partner for the government in the area of heavy industry.

Activity

Miyashita Industries cooperates closely with the public sector, a relationship similar to that of Agsa and the National Capital Investment Board in financial services. It and a few other heavy industry companies have consolidated the heavy industry sector, with market allocations determined by the Inspectorate of Competition, and follow instructions and directions from the Office of Industrial Production Coordination and the NCC in planning, production, and distribution.

Organisation

Miyashita Industries is a group of companies, registered as a SA.

It is organised by workers' self-management. Management is carried out by the 10-member Management Board, supervised by the 15-member Supervisory Board. Both boards are elected annually. Each member company in turn is self-managed, and elects a Management Board and Supervisory Board.

Founder Kanna Miyashita is the president, winning repeated re-election since the company's establishment.

Its headquarters are in Velouria, Nerveiík-Iárus-Daláyk.

Member companies

Miyashita Industries is active in multiple industries. Its member companies include:

  • Miyashita Aviation
  • Miyashita Bank
  • Miyashita Chemicals
  • Miyashita Construction
  • Miyashita Electronics
  • Miyashita Metals
  • Miyashita Motors
  • Miyashita Shipping
  • Miyashita Trading

In addition to the major companies, which carry the "Miyashita" name, it also has a few smaller member companies in areas like food, drinks, department stores, and entertainment.

Notable products

Miyashita Industries currently holds the license to manufacture the Ranier Ra-62 (transferred from Ranier Aircraft in 1995), the Mercuri Talaria (Gyliair's main domestically-manufactured domestic flight aircraft), and the SV-1.
