The Walküre, commonly known as the 'Valkyrie', is the primary attack helicopter of the Confederate Brytisc Fleet. Designed and manufactured domestically by IDAItech, the Valkyrie is not currently available for general sale. Designed for stealth and firepower, this vehicle is suited for ground support missions and search-and-destroy operations. The helicopter's visual, radar, infra-red and acoustic signatures have been minimised to improve stealth survivability, whilst the fuselage is armoured to withstand small arms fire and 23mm cannon rounds. The helicopter has various radar/laser warning and missile-approach detection systems, as well as flares and chaff dispensers.
Mounting a powerful 30mm 'Vengeance' cannon, it boasts a powerful onboard digital computer system and a full visibility suite, offering 360° degree vision and a suite of thermal and night-vision systems. It has a selection of electronic warfare and sensory systems, and can also be mounted with a modest AWACS mast, though this slightly reduces top speed. It can be armed with a range of missiles, guided and unguided rockets, miniguns, and air-to-air missiles in the inner and outer hardpoints, making it a versatile and efficient piece of hardware.
Foreign operators
In 2015, Valaran purchased 48 Walküre Gunships as part of a larger contract awarded to IDAItech and Wernham-Hogg, for the sum of $1.48 billion.
