The war began with the Satrian Rebellion against Etruria in 1944, when colonial authorities attempted to implement mass conscription. Socialist forces led by the People's Volunteer Organisation and under the Satrian Commandery fought against Etrurian forces and other Satrian rebels. After the Coian Evacuation, the conflict directly transitioned into the First Satrian War and the Commandery continued to fight against Ajahadyan and Rajyani forces.
