The Konstantinou government (Piraese: Κυβέρνηση Κωνσταντίνου) is the tenth and current government of the Third Piraean Republic. It is led by the Premier and leader of the People's Party, Georgios Konstantinou, and was formed after the 2022 Piraean general election in which the People's Party was the most voted political party. The cabinet is represented by a minority in the Piraean Senate; counts with several members from the Novalian People's Party and was granted the confidence of a number of Senate members from Change the Humanist Centre and Democrats.
Piraean media outlets have described the cabinet as pro-Euclean integration and with a strong liberal vision in economic aspects, where it has also been seen as technocratic. In social issues, newspapers editorials have seen it as continator of the general line of the People's Party, although combining liberal with conservative policies. The Konstantinou government marked the return of the centre-right to the government of Piraea after 3 continuous centre-left governments. In the Senate it has not counted with the approbation from the far-right Homeland, which remained on the opposition, although the parties have voted together in numerous occasions.
Investiture
During the day month, the Presidency held talks with the leaders of the parties that achieved representation in the Senate. The following day, Stella Davakis announced that the mandate for confidence was given to Georgios Konstantinou. The leader of the People's Party led the investiture debate during day month, although without being granted the confidence of the legislature; a second debate was held the following week and the abstention of Change and Democrats enabled Konstantinou to form a government.
