Pedeit FC, also known as The Canaries, is a Shoassauan professional soccer club based in Alsace which plays in Premier 1. Pedeit is one of the most accomplished teams in Premier 1 and also performs well in international competitions. Founded in 1928, the team led the league in its early history with several championships and high scoring matches. In the latter half of the 20th century, however, the team's winning eras diminished as they were overtaken by teams like Staventer Union and Alsace United. During a restructuring of the team and roster by Owner Marcel De Villiers and head coach Raphaël Vaganay, later Eugène Thiers, the addition of Beat Hochmuth and Nicolas Karlen in 2018 pushed Pedeit into an era of high performance, culminating in the 2023 EFC Champions League win against Alanis United. The club has been crowned Premier 1 champions 21 times, second only to major rivals Alsace United (32).
