The entirety of Neuerstaat's territory is located within the continent of Vesperia, it is located in the eastern edges of Vesperia, located north of Gora, southeast of Eldamar, south of Seibalath and east of Arcadia, Les Iles de la Madeleine, Laurentide, Caledonia, Gaspesie and Pays du Nord (refer to : Laurentiean Anarchy). Neuerstaat is bordered to the north by the Iarnase Sea, to the east by the Arisnaym Sea and Waystadie Sea, to the south by the Pasian Sea and Kopfweh Sea and to the east by the Steigen Sea. It is seperated from Gora by the Strait of Nervaid, from Laurentiea by the Pathisa Sea and Sayea Sea and from Seibalath by the Strait of Nivias.

Due to being a archipelagic nation, the borders of Neuerstaat are delineated solely by bodies of water.

The territories of Neuerstaat covers an area of 771,627km², being the 3rd smallest nation in Vesperia (excluding the Ardenaraian Sphere) infront of Lillitia and behind of Eldamar. The commonwealth possesses a large variety of landscapes due to it's span across many different climates, from tropical rainforests in Sydhaise to temperate floodplains in Berginsel and to mountainous fjords in Arenacht.

Within Neuerstaat, about 44% of land within Neuerstaat is covered with forests, accounting for a 8.2% decrease since 1990, the forests of Neuerstaat comprise of more than 188 species of trees. In 2020, Neuerstaat ranked 43rd within the Forest Landscape Integrity Index, with a mean score of 5.22 out of 10. With the implementation of recent expansion and creation of new national parks and protected areas, Neuerstaat currently possesses 12 national parks and 87 protected areas, under the jurisdiction of the AUN, it is meant to protect the scenery and wildlife of the nation as well as to promote sustainable economic and industrial practices.
