Onboard service

The nature of the Radictistani air travel market requires a different attitude towards airline service than is the norm elsewhere. Relatively few people in Radictistan can afford to travel by air and the country has an efficient system of passenger rail. Therefore it is mostly the upper middle class and very wealthy who travel by air. Royal Radictistan Airways therefore prioritizes passenger comfort over low fares. It dedicates a larger proportion of its aircraft cabin space to premium classes than most airlines, and non-premium passengers typically enjoy one to two inches more legroom than most other carriers. All Royal Radictistan Airways aircraft are configured for two passenger classes except for the B777 aircraft which have two premium classes: First Class and Business Class. All other aircraft have the premium class labeled as either First Class for domestic flights or Business Class on international flights.

Royal Radictistan Airways offers complimentary non-alcoholic beverage and snack service on all domestic flights. A full meal service is included for passengers of all classes on flights of two hours or more operating within a traditional meal time. Alcoholic drinks cost extra for Economy passengers.

All intercontinental flights include complimentary beverage and meal service for all classes. No extra charge is required for alcoholic drinks. Flights within Apathia operate under the same meal and beverage rules as domestic flights.

In-flight entertainment services vary by aircraft. All Tu-204 aircraft are equipped with an audio entertainment system installed in every seat. The passenger may enjoy twelve prerecorded audio channels. On the Il-96 aircraft, passengers can view films on personal LCD screens in business class and drop-down LCD screens in the economy cabin in addition to the personal audio installation. The Boeing 777-200LR aircraft operated by RRA offer the most extensive array of entertainment options, with audio-video on demand provided by personal screens installed on every seat on the aircraft. Headphones are provided for free.

All carry-on luggage and the first item of checked baggage (per person) is free on all Royal Radictistan Airways flights. Each additional checked bag incurs a R$50 fee.

Wayfarer's Club

Royal Radictistan Airways maintains airport lounges, known as Wayfarer's Clubs, at most major Radictistani airports. Free membership is granted to elite frequent flyers while others may purchase ninety-day, annual, or three-year memberships. Club amenities include free drinks (including alcohol), hors d'oeuvres, and wireless internet access. Newspapers and magazines are also provided for the use of members.

Freight

Royal Radictistan Airways maintains a wholly-owned freight subsidiary, Royal Radictistan Air Freight which operates Il-96, Il-76, and 777F aircraft on international air freight routes. Royal Radictistan Air Freight also arranges for cargo to be transported within the lower cargo deck of passenger aircraft on international services.

Accidents and incidents

Royal Radictistan Airways has suffered two hull-loss accidents in its history. RRA Flight 1820 from Nuxenstat Xenocimedes Radicti International Airport to Brightburg Municipal Airport suffered a severe birdstrike on January 19, 2010. The aircraft lost power in both engines and crashed, killing 105 of the 118 persons onboard. The second incident involved RRA Flight 1647 flying out of Capstat Municipal Airport which collided with a general aviation aircraft on March 4, 2012 after receiving improper instructions from air traffic control. All 112 persons onboard the RRA Tu-204-300 aircraft and the sole occupant of the light plane were killed.
