The marriage to Victoria was well received by Gelonians, along to his brother Arthur's first marriage to [[Loeiza Taneta]], and widely cited as a <nowiki>"breath of fresh air for a family only focused on establishing prestige"</nowiki> by the Gelonian press. In 1991, Victoria gave birth to their first child, [[Gaudentia of Roazhon|Gaudentia]], followed by the birth of a son, [[Robert of Roazhon|Robert]], in 1995. The marriage was reportedly strained after Robert's birth, as rumors of affairs grew. By 2002, photographs of Riocus and [[Louise, Duchess of Köstritz]] surfaced after the annual Festival of the Flowers, in Royaumeix, [[Turenne]]. Both Riocus and Louise denied any affair, and Riocus sought legal action which resulted in an award for {{LAS}}300,000 in damages.

The two reportedly stuck up a friendship according to close friends, and often wrote to one another. Soon after Riocus's divorce in 2006, he reportedly began courting XXXX. Prince Riocus, Duke of Roazhon (Riocus Alan Jor Gallmau Heranal; b. 9 June 1962) is a member of the Gelonian Royal Family. He is the second child of Queen Rimoete II and Prince Hawise, Duke of Douarnenez. At the time of his birth, he was third in line to the throne; he is currently eleventh.

He holds the rank of Colonel, and the honorary rank of Brigadier in the Gelonian Royal Army. In the 1990s, he served as part of the Gelonian contingent to the allied coalition against XXXX in the TBD War. He left active military service in 2000, though continues to serve as a key liaison between the Crown Council and the Gelonian Armed Forces. Riocus is patron to numerous charities, primarily relating to various veterans causes.

Riocus married Victoria of Siliniga, in 1985; the couple's marriage has often been subject to tabloid speculation. In 2009, he married Louise, Duchess of Köstritz. He carries out official engagements and foreign visits on behalf of his brother, King Arthur XI. He was created Duke of Roazhon in 1989. 1988 Brennia border crisis

In 1988, Gelonian nationalist groups took part in a series of terrorist attacks in Brennia, a Latin border city of majority Gelonian-speaking residents. On April 19, the GSB dressed members of the Gelonian Royal Army bombed a Latin government building in Brennia, killing three Latin Senators visiting the city. The attack prompted a political crisis between the countries and a brief military standoff. Riocus, a member of the Royal Army's 12th brigade, was stationed at Ranneg during the crisis. Though his presence in Ranneg was unknown to the public initially, it was leaked during the crisis, prompting King Robert IV to ask for Riocus to be withdrawn, though Riocus and government refused his withdrawal.

By April 22, Riocus was joined by King Robert IV in Ranneg, and eventually met with Latin Empress Diana Augusta, and Leo, Prince Consort to resolve the crisis. The crisis was resolved peacefully with the establishment of the Latin-Gelonian Council.

Polnitsan-Milostian War

Riocus was active military during the Polnitsan-Milostian War, and was deployed along with Gelonian forces as part of the allied coalition. Riocus took part in the Second Battle of Eltanland. Riocus was recalled to Gelonia after his presence at the front was leaked to the press after the battle.

Court and government roles

Politics

Riocus is a self-described conservative, and has faced scrutiny for comments in support of Soudarded, a major right-wing political party. Ahead of the 2011 election, Riocus was seen campaigning for Soudarded candidates and accused of violating royal neutrality during elections. Riocus was a known a member of National Front as a student at Saint-Nazaire.

Riocus has held various court roles, including a term as Chief-President of the Crown Council. Since 2010, he has served as Deputy Chief Magistrate on the Standing Council of Chiefs and Clan Affairs. Since beginning as Deputy Chief Magistrate, the Council has elevated 15 armigerous clans to clans of the name.

Business and charitable works

Riocus is considered an avid athlete, regularly participating in pick-up ice hockey, and golf. He hosts a weekly pick-up scrimmage at Dournfawr Civic Center, which often includes many prominent Gelonian figures, including X, Y, and Z.

Riocus is the founder and chief patron of a number of charities, including Veterans of Freedom of which he has served as Chairman since 2000. Riocus has sponsored scholarships at Aberlour, a Gelonian boarding school he attended, known as The Duke of Roazhon Award, which provides financial aid to students otherwise eligible to attend the school.

Courtship

Marriage to Victoria of Siliniga

On 9 November 1985, he married Victoria of Siliniga, the eldest daughter of King Peter II of Garima. Riocus was invested as Duke of Roazhon in the same ceremony, with letters patent issued by King Robert IV the previous day. It was the first creation of a new Duke of Roazhon since the 17th century. They courted briefly in 1983, until Riocus joined the Royal Army in 1984. A year later their engagement was announced after rumors of a failed courtship between Riocus and XXXX.

The marriage to Victoria was well received by Gelonians, along to his brother Arthur's first marriage to Loeiza Taneta, and widely cited as a "breath of fresh air for a family only focused on establishing prestige" by the Gelonian press. They have four children. The marriage reportedly became strained after Robert's birth, as rumors of affairs grew.
