The Emmiria Navy is the maritime and naval warfare arm of the Emmirian Armed Forces. It is responsible for naval and amphibious operations. The Islamic Republic of Emmiria Navy was established on April 2nd, 1811. Since the end of the World War, the Emmirian navy had concentrated its efforts on building naval forces to counteract hostilities of aggressive nations in Southern Adula, particularly seen during the Tarijar Strait Crisis in 2020.

It is charged with the responsibility of forming Emmiria's first line of defense in the Emmiria Sea, Albarine Sea, shoreline of the Toyana Ocean, and beyond with the mission of acting as an effective blue-water navy. However, it is generally considered as a conventional green-water navy as it mostly operates at a regional level, significantly as a moderating force in the Tarijar Strait.

History

An Emmirian navy in one form or another has existed since ancient times and the First Emmirian Empire around 500 BC. The Islamic Republic of Emmiria Navy came into being when the former Imperial Emmirian Navy (IEN) was renamed in 1811 under President Saami al-Hammoud.

The Emmirian Navy was rebuilt after being almost completely destroyed during the Barretoan Wars, and played a crucial role in the Cantalle Ocean theater during the World War. Following the World War, the fleet began replacing destroyed and damaged warships with destroyers, frigates and many smaller vessels, including powerboats and hovercraft, many of which originated from Zamastan and Quetana.

Since 1980, the Emmirian navy has undergone a series of extensive modernization and self-dependency methods. While still finding use in the equipment utilized from Zamastan and allied nations, Emmiria's military has invested in its own ships with the construction of the Naheera-class aircraft carriers ENVS Qayyom and ENVS El-Zamani, the Kurdir-class frigates (2002), Taahir-class destroyers (2009), and the Thaamir-class destroyers (2015). While older, the navy's corvette and frigate fleets still pose a modern and formidable force.
