Revision as of 08:07, 4 August 2021

The term Ministry here used composes of the political part of the central government of Themiclesia. Those officers in bold are typically part of the Cabinet, the chief executive body of Themiclesia. The officers not in bold are conventionally nominated by the Cabinet and appointed by the crown. There are also several purely ceremonial offices amongst the Ministry, which grants their holder little other than prestige and an income. Members of the ministry are politically responsible to Parliament and expected to resign when the ministry no longer enjoys the confidence of the House of Commons.

List of Positions

The following are the positions found in the Baron of Ran's first ministry, which governed Themiclesia in the 1830s. Ran's ministry was constitutionally distinct from its predecessors in that the Emperor agreed not to make appointments without the approval of his ministers, in exchange for more latitude in choosing his ministers. This arrangement introduced a government fully competent in all policy areas, rather than splitting policy areas and offices between royal influence and the influence of ministers.
