The Konstantinou government (Piraese: Κυβέρνηση Κωνσταντίνου) is the twelfth and current government of the Third Piraean Republic. It is led by the Premier and leader of the People's Party, Georgios Konstantinou, and was formed after the 2022 Piraean general election in which the People's Party was the most voted political party. The cabinet is represented by a minority in the Piraean Senate; counts with several members from the Novalian People's Party and was granted the confidence of the liberal and socio-liberal parties Democrats and Change.
The cabinet is conceived by the media as pro-Euclean integration and profoundly technocratic. It was also designated to have marked the return of the centre-right to the government of Piraea and it is believed that with it, Konstantinou inaugurated the cordon sanitaire against far-right groups, isolating radical visions inside the People's Party and not granting participation from Homeland, which also did not granted its confidence in the Senate.
Investiture
During the day month, the Presidency held talks with the leaders of the parties that achieved representation in the Senate. The following day, Stella Davakis announced that the mandate for confidence was given to Georgios Konstantinou. The leader of the People's Party led the investiture debate during day month, although without being granted the confidence of the legislature; a second debate was held the following week and the abstention of Change and Democrats enabled Konstantinou to form a government.
