The Eser Super Lyga is the annual national football championship tournament in Eserrei, and administered by the Eserrei Football Association. It is the highest football league in Eserrei and is currently contested by 18 teams each year, with three teams relegated down to the Antroyi Lyga. While the top three teams from the Antroyi Lyga promote up to the Super Lyga.
History
Founded in 1954, the Eser Super Lyga became the first fully professional league of association football in Eserrei. At it's start in 1954, only 10 teams were participating. The opening Super Lyga season was played during the spring of 1954, with the ten teams playing each other twice for the championship title. All of the teams in the original version of the league were from the Kalo, Burzinai and Etlan states as the game was far more organized in the western states early on. By 1961 however, all seven states would be represented as the league expanded to 14 clubs. PFK Aptolis were the first club from outside the western states to win the league title in 1972. They would go on to win the following two years as well. In 1976 the league would expand to its current size of 18 teams. As of 2022, only 2 states in Eserrei have not had a championship winning club, those states are Jovanai and Proleis. The closet being SK Lyco of Proleis finishing 4th on two occasions in 1998 and 2006.
