Early Life and Acting Career
Kim Yoo-jung was born in Aurora on the 17th of August 1999, a transitionary period for Malgrave as final preparations were being made for the end of isolationism and the Lost Decade was coming to a close. At this time Yoo-jung was noted as a member of the Gabriel Narutowicz Pioneers and took part in a few musical and acting programs that had been formed during the Lost Decade, and have been credited with creating recent generations of idols in the country.
Yoo-Jung's involvement with the Pioneers and her early interest in acting led to her becoming involved in a few advertising campaigns for companies such as MalMart and MalTra. In 2009, Yoo-jung came to national attention when she appeared in Revolution, a controversial drama about a theorised failed coup that happened in the 1980s and Rainy Day, a film about the end of the Malgravean Civil War.
After these successes Yoo-jung continued acting and appeared in a few other major dramas, however, in 2016 she took a hiatus from her acting career to focus on her education and work with the Free Democratic Youth and enrolled in the Aurora Institute of Political Science.
Free Democratic Youth
Starting from 2013 Kim Yoo-jung had been a proactive member of the Free Democratic Youth and has taken part in several advertising campaigns to promote active membership of the organisation, with the then actor even using her position in the industry to organise several trips for other FDY groups to try and inspire members.
In 2015 Kim Yoo-jung was appointed to a regional position within the Free Democratic Youth, a position which she used to increase collaboration between the youth organisation and popular groups such as Eclipse which saw an increase in involvement across older age groups.
At this, the Free Democratic Youth had been led by Claudia Donovan, an arrangement that was initially designed to be temporary but had been stalled for a few years. Following the appointment of Nadzieja Brzezicki as Prime Minister, this process was continued and on the 20th of September 2019, Kim Yoo-jung became Chairperson of the Free Democratic Youth.
As Chairperson of the Free Democratic Youth has overseen an expansion of the groups' activities, with more funding and support for cultural programs and greater integration between Conference for the Masters of Tomorrow and academic institutions in the country which has been labelled part of a three-year plan to increase membership figures.
Personal Life
Kim Yoo-jung is a Serionite and supporter of the Ancestral Study Group.
