The GTLW SYS180W-D3T is a heavy haul fast-freight locomotive built by the Gateway Turtle Locomotive Works in 2019. 3 real life examples of this locomotive exist, all being produced between June and October of 2017. The SYS180W-D3T would not be publicly available, and would only be used on GTCOs experimental passenger railway, TurtleTram. The locomotive uses a trio of GTLW HH60I prime movers to generate a total of 18,000 hp (13,420 kW). The locomotive can reach speeds of up to 120 mph (193 km/h), and is designed for fast freight transport. The locomotive's front two AAR type D trucks are located on an articulated front section, which is coupled to the locomotive above the frontmost truck to provide stability and support for the full locomotive.
