 The 1957 Indiana Junction Disaster was a railway accident that occureed on June 17, 1957 (1957-06-17), Indianapolis, Indiana, when a autorack train being led by CGTR #7, a Baldwin DR-12-8-1500/2, would derail at a junction after going over it at approximately 60 miles per hour (97 km/h), as opposed to the 20 miles per hour (32 km/h) speed limit.
