The UIA traces it's history back to several large aircraft manufacturers that served the Greater Imperial Hegemony for decades. Namely [[Aegair]],[[Centura]],[[Huvakian Helicopters]],and [[Volgoluft]]. Each of these companies was a leader in their respective fields developing top quality military aircraft. The Imperial government continually gained more and more influence and control over these companies, eventually obtaining a controlling majority in each. With effective ownership of the companies it was decided that they would be merged in an effort to optomize production and minimize losses. On August 26, 2005 Emperor Aleksander Zaetsev issued a Royal Imperial Order murging the companies into the now state owned United Imperial Aeronautics.

Unveiled at the [[Eldrado]] Airshow in mid 2007 foreign competitors designated the UGF-35 as the "Kingpin". A fourth generation general purpose fighter aircraft the UGF-35 has been well recieved as a competent modern fighter, able to keep pace with most aircraft designed at the time. As of 2008 the UGF-35 is the primary fighter aircraft of the Huvakian air force. In may of 2009 the UAC released it's first civillian airliner, the [[Aegair Superjet 1000]]. In 2010, UIA delivered 93 aircraft, including 17 passenger models. This figure includes 31 Volgoluft-29 and 7 UGF-35 fighter jets produced for the Imperial Air Force. The company's revenues for 2010 were expected to be 115 billion–120 billion.
On the 9th of February 2011 the UIA announced Huvakia's 5th generation fighter aircraft the UGF-57. The UGF-57 is a stealth, single-seat, twin-engine, multirole jet fighter designed for air supremacy and attack roles. The U-57 would also be Huvakia's first confirmed aircraft to use stealth technology. The U-57 is designed to replace existing fighter aircraft, and is expected to enter full service in early 2020. UIA is rumored to be in development of even more advanced aircraft though only the internal reporting name is presently known. Project Nosferatu is expected to be a further improvement of technologies included in the UGF-57.

United Imperial Aeronautics is a major Huvakian defense contractor and industrial corporation specializing in advanced electronics and aerospace.

Established in 2005 through the murger of several aircraft companies, U.I.A is now the sole provider of aircraft and helicopters for the imperial armed forces. The company is also a leader in developing computer systems. As of 2013, the company has over 230,000 employees worldwide and is composed of five primary divisions with subsidiaries in other countries to coordinate contracting with local governments. It is the 4th largest defense contractor by gross revenue in Huvakia and derives over 90% of its revenue from defense contracts.
