Viqalka is the smallest and least populous of the eleven earldoms of Cadenza, consisting of the island of Torim Viqalka, 74 hectares (0.74 km2) in area. It has a population of 1,503. The island was officially settled in 1667, but had been used for water reprovisioning by Cadenzan sailors since the mid-1500s. It was created an earldom after a series of conflicts with Kelonna between 1672 and 1684. The ruling family has been House Lokaran since this time.
