The Vega-Hayes family is an American millionaire family originating from the Portland–Vancouver metropolitan area in Oregon and Washington. The family matriarch is Amelia Vega Hayes. The Vega-Hayes family became notable in 2018 when the secret fortune of Hayes was discovered by her grandchildren in a will dated from 2006. Before then, the family was ordinary and led private lives with the exception of Jacob Dunham, who was a notable attorney in Oregon legal circles; and Victoria Hampton-Chavez, the ex-wife of technology magnate Alon Hampton, though her side of the family was never mentioned or discussed in the media or socialite circles. After the family story was told by the media and gossip magazines, the Vega-Hayes family became public figures involved with charity, law, government, filmmaking and culinary art.
