The Albarine Intelligence Agency (AIA) is the foreign intelligence service of Albarine, tasked mainly with the covert overseas collection and analysis of human intelligence in support of Albarine's national security. Founded in the early 1900s, it became a vital intelligence agency during the World War. It works closely with allied intelligence agencies like the Zamastanian Intelligence Service to conduct roles in counter-terrorism, counter-proliferation, providing intelligence in support of cyber security, and supporting stability overseas to disrupt terrorism and other criminal activities. Some of AIA's actions since the early 2000s have attracted significant controversy, such as its alleged complicity in acts of enhanced interrogation techniques and extraordinary rendition.
