Besmenia Day (Besmenian: Tag Besmeniens), is the national holiday of Besmenia, set on 14 September. It commemorates the Besmenian reunification in 1967 when the Besmenian Republic (West Besmenia) joined the Federal Republic of Besmenia (East Besmenia).

Official event
Since 1967, the official celebration of Besmenia Day has taken place in the state capital of the federal state that chairs the Federal Senate at the time.
Usually, there is a military parade and a folk festival on this day, which is officially referred to as "federal festival", at which, among other things, the federal states and their government present themselves.
At the event, the president, the governor and, at the time of the celebration, the imcumbent president of the Federal Senate of the respective host federal state and the prime minister appear and give speeches.
Other events
- Events, concerts and public cultural programs take place in other cities in Besmenia, often accompanied by fireworks
- In Laitstadt, the Federal Chamber and the Traisenbach Castle, the seat of the Federal President, open their doors and can be visited by people.
- Outside Besmenia, a small folk festival is sometimes organized by the embassy of the host country.
