Each of the different military services is assigned a role and a domain, the Federal Army conducts land operations, while the Federal Air Force conducts air operations and the Federal Navy and Marine Corps conduct maritime operations, with the Marine Corps specialising in amphibious and maritime littoral operations in support of the Navy.
In addition, the Federal Armed Forces is joined by the Federal Home Guards, the Federation's militia system.
Under the Federation's Constitution, the Armed Forces of the Federation do not take part in conflicts in other countries unless in the cause of self-defence, however. It do participate in international humanitarian missions.
The regulations of Home guards of the Militia system stipulate that the soldiers, airmen, sailors and marines keep their own personal equipment, including weapons at home, including ammunition. Structure
United strategic commands
United Strategic Commands or USC are joint military command element consisting of military forces from multiple military departments, such as the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps. USC serve the purpose of enhancing cooperation, coordination and support for all the military services of all military departments within the assigned region of operations, allowing flexible, non-contradictive military planning and organising.
Each USC is responsible for a region of operations, each serve the purpose of organise, train and equip forces that are assigned to the region of operations through service components that each military branch provide, such as the Army Materiel Command and the Air Force Air Mobility Command.
The United Federation Special Operations Command (UFSOC) are also part of the USC system, UFSOC does not hold responsibility for any region of operation, however. Operate by mission basis.
The United Federation Cyber Command (UFCC) are responsible for the cyber-related security as well operations for all theaters and are joint-led by all Military Department's own Cyber Unit.
The United Federation Strategic Command (UFSC) are responsible for the STARLINK Communication System, the Operations of Federation Space Assets, as well conduct strategic nuclear and nuclear deterrence operation, Nuclear command, control and communications, joint multi-spectrum operation, global strike operation, lastly missile and ballistic defence operations.
Lastly, the United Federation Strategic Mobility Command (UFSMC), one of the most important command of the Federation, UFSMC is responsible for mobility operations, UFSMC coordinate and conduct globally integrated mobility, allowing for rapid transportation of materiel and personnel, it is joint-led by the Army Materiel Command, The Navy Sealift Command and Air Force Air Mobility Command.
Defence Assistance Agencies
Defence Assistance Agencies, or DAA are agencies under the command of the Department Of Defence that have a support role in military operations, Involving in providing support for operating forces across the globe, ranging from planning for, or conducting, military operations. Including support during conflict or in the conduct of other military activities related to countering threats to the Federation's National Security, these agencies also cooperate closely with the Service Assistance Agencies under Department Of Homeland Security.
Service Assistance Agencies
Service Assistance Agencies or SAA are agencies belong to the Department Of Homeland Security, Such as the Federal Coast Guard, The Federal Border Guard and The Home Guard. As well Intelligence Agencies: Federal Security Intelligence Agency (FSIA) and Federal Internal Security Agency (FISA).

Federal Army
The Federal Navy is the Merian Federal Armed Forces maritime force, Established in 1585 as part of the Rearmament program under President Alicia Hunt, the creation of the Navy and the Marine Corps in 1586, which were defunct since 1583, when the Federation was founded due to lack of funding and infrastructure to support a standing navy. The Federal Navy consist of the Regular Navy and the Navy Reserve, the Navy is the Federation's principal maritime service , responsible for maritime warfare operations.
The Federal Army is the Merian Federal Armed Forces land force, it was founded in 1991, the same year as the Federation was formed as part of the unification treaty. The Federal Army at the time compose of forces originates from the thirteen members that forms the Federation. During it's early days of formation, the Federal Army were plagued with lack of coherent organisation, lack of equipment as well inadequate training, notoriously, years of political indoctrination, nobility control also played a toll on the reformation, as nobility held many of high ranking positions within the newly formed Federal Army, largely due to connection and feudal policies. The young Federal Army, however. Were blessed with the existence of two, at the time were regiment, The 1st "Cold Water" Regiment and the 2nd "Black Watch" Regiment, with heritage traces back to the Colonial Administration era. This two regiments, formerly part of the United States Of Maryland's Army were the best equipped and trained in the entire Maryland Army, if not the entire region, were used as the base for the reformation and restructuring of the Federal Army. Long gone are the times were Nobility were granted leadership role during wartime simply because of birth or only professional forces obtain latest equipment. Within four years, the previously inefficient Federal Army are now no more. Equipped with the latest technological marvels, trained by highly experienced and seasoned officers from the member states as well the Cold Water and Black Watch Regiment, of which are now Divisional-sized, The army of the old were no more. In it's place, it is replaced by a competent, elite fighting forces of the Federation.
The Federal Army is organised under the Department Of The Army, which is a military department under the leadership of the Secretary Of The Army and the Under-Secretary Of The Army, the Army itself is led by the Chief Of Staff Of The Army and the Vice Chief Of Staff Of The Army, their advisor is the Sergeant Major Of The Army.
The Department Of The Army and the Federal Army runs hands-in-hands, of which is the Military officers are responsible for military duties as well interpretation of their constitutional duties, meanwhile the Civilian officers of the Department Of The Army is responsible for the promotion of cooperation and coordination with the civilian administration, the Federal Government and the Federal Council.
The five functions of the Army are:
- engage in sustained land combat
- Combined arms operations includes:
- Combined arms maneuver and theater security
- Armoured and mechanised operations
- Airborne and air assault operations
- Special operations
- Set and sustain theater of operations for the armed forces
- Integrate national, multi-national powers and joint forces on land
Specifically, their tasks are the following:
Army Ground Arms
The Ground Arms, or the Infantry, nicknamed the "Queen Of The Battlefield" by the other Arms are the core of the Federal Army's land combat power. The Federal Army Infantryman are generally equipped with MAR-64C carbine and the MSW-94L light machine gun
Infantrymen are the core of the Army's doctrine tactics, also known as the Brigade Combat Teams. As of currently, the most numerous variant of this doctrine is the Light Mechanised Infantry Brigade Combat Team, comprise of infantry battalions equipped with armoured personnel carriers for transportation and engage in combat on foot. Other variants include:
Infantry Brigade Combat Team, the mainstray infantry battalions who engage in combat on foot, although largely phased out in favour of mechanisation, unlike other country's Infantry units, the IBCT are fully motorised, however, these vehicles are not designed for prolonged firefight or direct combat support, they're lightly protected and are armed and also mine-resistant capable.
Heavy Mechanised Infantry Brigade Combat Team, which is the second most numerous variant of the Federal Army, essentially the same as the Light Mechanised Infantry Brigade Combat Team, the Heavy Mechanised are equipped with infantry fighting vehicles instead of armoured personnel carriers for more direct support firepower role than it's counterpart.
Air Assault Infantry Brigade Combat Team, which are infantrymen trained for rapid combat insertion by the Federal Army's Aviation Arms Helicopters.
Airborne Infantry Brigade Combat Team, who are capable of airborne operations across the globe. They act as the Federal Army's rapid reaction forces and cooperate closely with the Federal Air Force's transport aircrafts.
Ranger Infantry Brigade Combat Team, also known as the Mountaineer Brigade Combat Team or uncommonly as the Jäger Brigade Combat Team are infantrymen specifically trained for mountain, forest, swamp, arctic and other type of non-conventional terrains warfare.
Army Armoured Arms
The Armoured Arms, often nicknamed as the "Tanker's club" are the prominent and pride of the Federal Army. Formerly compose of only one regiment from the Maryland Army, the Armoured Arms now consist of over nine divisions and is responsible for tank and cavalry operations.
The Federal Army employ the M9 Scorpion series main battle tank in Armoured Battalions as part of the Armoured Brigade Combat Teams as well the Light and Heavy Mechanised Infantry Brigade Combat Teams that can be found across the Federal Army's Armoured Divisions and Mechanised Divisions. In addition, specialised Infantry Fighting Vehicle variant known as the Cavalry Reconnaissance Fighting Vehicle or "CRFV" form a unit known as Cavalry reconnaissance Company, which are equipped with these CRFV for reconnaissance and security operations.
Army Artillery and Air Defense Arms
Unlike some countries, the Federal Army decision to integate the Artillery and Air Defense Arms into one could be considered controversial. Unlike other arms of the Federal Army, the Federal Army Artillery and Air Defense Arms are as it's name titled: Comprise of the Artillery Troops and the Air Defense Troops.
The Artillery Troops's mission is to provide support, suppress and or neutralise the enemies by cannon, rocket or missile fire. The Artillery troops operate a variety of systems, including rocket systems such as the M177 Multiple Launch Rocket System which are corps-level assets found in field artillery brigades. Meanwhile, Towed Artillery includes the M309 105mm howitzer in Infantry Brigade Combat Teams and the M799 155mm howitzer found in both Light and Heavy Mechanised Infantry Brigade Combat Teams. Lastly, the M209 155mm self-propelled howitzer is utilised in Armored Brigade Combat Teams.
Throughout the existence of the Federal Army, the Artillery has always been the target of many research and development programs. As of currently, the Federal Army is looking into the technologies of guided ordnances and hypersonic weapons to further the firepower of the Artillery Troops in the field.
The Air Defense Troops is responsible for the defense of military and political assets from hostile aerial threats such as aircrafts, missiles and surveillance assets through deterrence and destruction. Ordnances operated by the Air Defense Troops includes man-portable air-defense system M97 Launcher, M81 Short-range air defense system, the M167 20mm Air Defense Rotary Cannon System (AD-RCS) for rocket, artillery and mortar defense. Lastly, the M144 Long-range air defense system, the most lethal air defense system within the Federal Army's Air Defense Troops arsenal is capable of defeating a wide range of threats such as aircrafts, helicopters, unmanned vehicles but specifically cruise and ballistic missiles. With high-operational range and ability to intercept ballistic threats, the M144 system continues to be upgraded and enhanced by the Air Defense Troops with plans to research into hypersonic missiles to further enhance it's capability to intercept and destroy ballistic missiles threats.
The Air Defense Troops cooperate closely with the Federal Air Force and the Federal Navy to form a line of defense, this known as the the Terminal High Altitude Sector Defense (THASD) which protects critical assets such as the capital city, strategic civilian assets such as industrial sectors and major urban sectors but also strategic military assets by long-range endo-exo-atmospheric warfare, designed to intercept and destroy hostile ballistic missiles and other assets beyond the stratosphere of Kalrania. It is powered by vast arrays of stationary land-based X-band radars placed across the Federation and allied states to form a sphere of defense against ballistic launches across the globe.
If any under any circumstance should THASD be compromised or failed to intercept hostile assets prior it's re-entry to the stratosphere, the defense strategy known as "Midcourse Interception Defense", compose of the Navy's AEGIS-powered surface vessels, the Army Air Defense Troops and Air Force ground-based installations and Air Force's Air Supremacy Command's aircrafts, of which they will engage in atmospheric interception of the threat utilising wide-variety of ordnances including cruise missiles, fighter interception and short-range interception.
Due to the increasing threat posed by intercontinental ballistic missiles, the Federal Army's Air Defense Troops conduct routine exercise in conjunction with the Federal Navy and Federal Air Forces in the means of defense against such threats, utilising both theoretical exercises and live fire exercises.

- Provide power projection through sea-based global strike, to include nuclear and conventional capabilities, interdiction and interception, maritime and/or littoral fires, to include naval surface fires and close air support for ground forces.
- Conduct ballistic missile defence operations, this is executed through Theia Ballistic Missile Defense System.
- Conduct ocean, hydro and river survey and reconstruction.
- Conduct riverine operations.
- Establish, maintain and defence sea bases in support of naval, amphibious, land, air or other operations as directed.
- Provide naval logistics for the Armed Forces other than which is organic to the individual military services, the Federal Special Operations Command, the Federal Cyber Command, this is conducted by the Naval Strategic Sealift Command and Naval Logistics Support Group.
- Provide support for joint operations to enhance naval operations, in coordination with the other military services, strategic commands and other Federal government departments and agencies. The Federal Navy Space operations are conducted by the Federal Joint Space Command, led by the Air Force.
- Conduct nuclear operations in support of strategic deterrence, to include providing and maintaining nuclear safety and capabilities.
- Conduct first contact with new sovereign states, deliverance of ambassadors, scientists and other experts to establish formal relations with sovereign states.
The backbone of the Federal Navy's combat capability, Naval Surface Forces (SURFOR) primary responsibility are conducting surface warfare operations as well operating its fleet of surface combat vessels.
The Naval Surface Forces operates 13 Nuclear powered aircraft carriers with 2 more under construction, designated CVN. It's operate the Federation's latest and first carrier class, The Sovereign-class aircraft carrier (CVN). Aircraft carriers are currently being phased into the Federal Navy as the centerpiece of its combat capability, forming the nucleus of it's thirteen carrier task groups (CTG). Each aircraft carrier has an embarked Carrier Air Wing from the Naval Air Services.
The Naval Surface Forces also operate 258 surface combatants. These include the Autumn-class guided-missile cruisers (CG), Constitution-class guided-missile destroyers (DDG). Cruisers and destroyers are often operate as part of a larger formation, where they serve as escorts for anti-aircraft and anti-submarine operations, but they also able to conduct sea control, operating as smaller 3-ship patrol squadron as well strike operations ashore with their cruise missiles. The Navy also operate a complement of smaller surface combatants for Green-water operations, these classes are the Etrinox-class guided-missile frigate (FFG) and Laskov-class Stealth Corvette (FS), the Laskov can be modularly reconfigured for specific mission type.
Lastly, the Naval Surface Forces 4 Amphibious Warfare Ships to support the Marine Expeditionary Forces and it's embarked Marine Air-Ground Assault Forces as part of an amphibious assault group or Amphibious strike group. These are the Orion-class in two configuration: Landing helicopter assault (LHA) which can carry Federal Marine Corps fixed-wings and helicopters and the later variant landing helicopter dock (LHD) which can carry both fixed wings, helicopters and landing crafts. In addition, the Surface Forces also operate Granite-class amphibious transport docks (LPD).
The Naval Submarine Forces (SUBFOR) is the Federal Navy's primary subsurface combat forces, consisting of 77 commissioned submarines.
The naval Submarine Forces operate the Horizon-class nuclear-powered attack submarine (SSN) as it's primary sea control subsurface combatant. It's also conduct surveillance and reconnaissance, irregular warfare, covert troop insertion, mine and anti-mine operations as well ashore operations with cruise missiles.
In addition, the Federal Navy's Submarine Forces also consist of Typhoon-class nuclear-powered ballistic submarine (SSBN) which has the sole mission of being launch platforms for nuclear submarine-launched ballistic missiles. Each carries up to 32 SLBMs. A alternative to the Typhoon-class is the Tornado-class nuclear-powered guided missile submarines (SSGN), the primary subsurface multi-mission combatant, capable of carrying 188 cruise missiles, allowing it's to engage in multitude of combat mission scenarios, including ashore strike operations, covert troops insertion and support, ballistic defence and subsurface warfare.
The Naval Air Service (AIRSER) is the Federal Navy's naval aviation arm, centered around the carrier air wings. THe core of the carrier air wing are the Naval Air Service strike fighter squadrons (VFA), which fly the (Placeholder) fighter and the (placeholder) fighter. In addition, they also operate (Placeholder), a electronic-warfare aircraft flown by electronic warfare squadrons (VFQ) off of carriers or land bases. The (placeholder) provides carriers with airborne early warning and command and control, while the (Placeholder) keep carriers supplied.
The Naval Air Service also operate the (Placeholder) for anti-submarine warfare, anti-ship warfare and search and rescue operations. The (Placeholder) is primarily used for anti-mine warfare but can also be used for assault support.
Although primarily centered on carriers, the Naval Air Service also operate a small number of land-based aircrafts. These include the (Placeholder) which conduct anti-submarine warfare and serve as maritime patrol aircraft, it's also joined by the unmanned (Placeholder) which conduct the same duties.
Naval Amphibious Assault Forces (AAFOR) are the land component of the Navy. Operating ashore or in green-water theater. Their purpose is to clear the battlespace of hazards to the Navy, secure maritime terrain, sea lines of communication, resources, build infrastructure, establish awareness, provide and protect logistics chains, promote partnership with local forces and protect the Navy's fleets, facilities and forces.
In addition, the Naval Amphibious Assault Forces also include the Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Regiment. Responsible for conducting countering explosive devices that may present a hazard to military and civilian assets and are also tasked to clear harbours of navigational hazards, engage in underwater search and rescue, and perform limited underwater repairs on ships.
For land security, the Federal Navy's AAFOR also include Maritime Security Forces (MSF) which conduct operations in green-water theater, including harbours, rivers, bays and on land to provide security. These include port and harbour security.
The Naval Engineering Force are the Navy's engineers. Tasked with duties such as construct facilities in support of naval operations while also providing force protection.
