The Periclean Group of Five (P5) is an intergovernmental economic and political forum that consists of Alanahr, Drevstran, Garima, Latium, and Lihnidos. The first meeting of what would become the P5 was held on 7 August 1962 during in response to the escalating conflict in the Second Partisans' War and greater cooperation among like-minded nations. P5 members are among some of the strongest economics in the Periclean or Belisaria-Scipian regions.
The P5 originated in 1962 in what was an informal meeting of leaders from Latium, Lihnidos, Alanahr, and Perateia. It has since expanded from its original membership to include Drevstran in 19xx, and Garima in 20xx. Each member state's head of state or head of government meet annually at the P5 summit, while other high-ranking officials from member states meet throughout the year. Representatives from non-member states are often invited as guests to attend the P5 Summit or meetings.
The P5 is not bound by any formal treaty or formalized office, and instead has a rotating presidency which assists in determining the summit's host nation and specifics of the summit agenda, though all members may assist in the formation of a summit agenda.
