The GTLW HMP48 is a six-axle multi-purpose diesel locomotive manufactured by Gateway Turtle Locomotive Works (GTLW) for the North American market since 2018. It is powered by a GTLW HD54 V20 diesel engine rated at 4,800 hp (3,600 kW). The locomotive is capable of travelling a maximum in-service speed of 90 miles per hour (140 km/h), and is designed for pulling both freight and passenger.
