The Dezevauni people in Amathia, formed by Amathian residents and citizens with Dezevauni origins, are the largest non-Euclean minority in Amathia, and the third-largest minority overall (after Piraeans and Miruvians). It forms one of the most populous Dezevauni diasporic groups the world, and it is one of the most significant minorities in Amathia, being to this date the only minority to have immigrated in modern times to be recognized by the Amathian Government.
Most of the group have their origins in the guest workers invited by the Amathian Equalist Republic, which was on good terms with the similarly socialist regime in Dezevau. Relations declined as the Equalists became more authoritarian while the Cultural Revolution made Dezevauni foreign policy more ideologically based, and so did the migratory flow. However, after the establishment of the modern liberal democratic Amathia, relations were improved again, and there is a small emigratory flow from Dezevau to Amathia again.
Many Dezevauni who moved to Amathia were Episemialist, with their communities having been converted by Amathian missionaries in colonial times. Many, however, are also Badist, in fact, a greater proportion than in Dezevau itself.
Most Dezevauni in Amathia live in urban areas, such as Arciluco. There was a significant Dezevauni presence in West Arciluco during Narozalican rule.
