Hazarabad is the most populous city in Emmiria. With a population of over 19.5 million, it is the third-most populous city on Iearth after Tofino, Zamastan, and Shanghan, Yuan. Hazarabad is associated with ancient Emmiria, as the famous Medeams tomb complex and the ancient city of Cyrun are located in its geographical area. Located on the banks of the Hayr River, Hazarabad was founded in 969 AD during the Achaiminid empire, but the land composing the present-day city remain visible in parts of Old Hazarabad.
Hazarabad has long been a centre of the region's political and cultural life, and is titled "the city of a thousand minarets" for its preponderance of Islamic architecture. Hazarabad is considered a World City. Many international media, businesses, and organizations have regional headquarters in the city. The city used to be the capital of Emmiria until it moved to Kuye, then Hajaria, and now Rhaga.
