Alice Myeong-hui Janggok (14 February 1991) is a Joyonghean officer and soldier serving in the Teugbudae. She is posted in Unit 9, and would prove to be one of its most reliable commanders. From this, she was recommended by her superiors to be part of Task Force 853. To her non-Joyonghean friends and colleagues, she is known as Alice.
Alice is a member of the Tansan Janggok clan, an upper-class clan whose industries focused on law, finance and politics. She was educated to be a lawyer by her family, but could not be complacent, and was disowned at 18 with a reasonable income. Under the name Muk Yoon-jung, she eventually volunteered for the Joyonghean Sovereign Army at age 20, and with skill, adeptness and diligence, she was placed in the Teugbudae, and served in Unit 9 throughout the Imperial Crisis, Chalcedonic War and Neocon War.
Before the Chalcedonic War, she returned to her family as a means of reconciliation promoted by her parents after hearing of her exploits. Because of the clan's lineage to the Seleucid dynasty, Alice was compelled to offer her services to her older politician cousin Janggok Seong-hyeon and thereby side with the Neocons, much to the surprise of her friends. She served in Task Force Nicator's TF Green until the last years of the Neocon War after witnessing the Kataibatic Calamity first-hand; she also participated in the 2030 Joyonghea coup d'état where the Janggok dynasty took power with the assistance of Pam Nam-seon and the Mangjeol family.
