Chalcedonic War
The Chalcedonic War (15 March 2025 - 15 October 2029) was a worldwide conflict that was fought between the Allied Forces spearheaded by the leading Allied Nations of the United Kingdom, Erebonian Empire, Gallia-Bruhl, Quenmin, Joyonghea, Bethausia, Concordia and Aurucolia against the larger and unified Imperial forces, now under the Chalcedony Empire. The conflict became the third deadliest after the Second Europan War and the First Europan War.
Pre-war events began in 2023, when the East Empire violated the Treaty of Tristannia that ended the Imperial Crisis. The Second Imperial Anschluss began by annexing vast tracts of Bahatsva, the Liberl Kingdom and the Lorican Federation. Several Imperial Nations committed to the formation of a unified Empire such as Remiferia, the Calvard Republic, Militesi Empire, the Midgar Federation, and the Ruzhite Empire. The Guadosalam Federation and Ingelmia remained as key Imperial-aligned nations and were to prove instrumental in the plans of occupying South Amerigonna and Oceania. Observing this, particular Allied nations such as Quenmin, Joyonghea, Bethausia, Concordia and the Holy Trabian Empire expressed concern over the inevitability of a resurgence of Imperial aggression, which was culminated in the global neoconservative movement that surmounted and established neoconservative governments in such countries. Consequently, calls for preemptive war against the Chalcedony Empire resounded at the Allied council, but was denied.
Eventually on 18 January 2025, after the Indiae was integrated into the Empire in late 2024, Quenmin, Bethausia and Kyachindwin launched a preemptive invasion against Indiae. About 2 months later, they were able to occupy New Delhi. On 8 March 2025, Joyonghea launched Operations Seondeok I and Seondeok II against Rus to its disable ports, bases and industrial complexes. Congruent to this, the Holy Trabian Empire commenced Operation Escoffier, a surprise attack on the border to suppress Ruzhite forces for the coming invasion. Soon after, the preemptive strikes were met with stiff Imperial resistance. In 15 March 2025, during the Anniversary of the start of the Second Europan War, the Chalcedony Empire launched a surprise attack on the Atlantic Federation. Within 4 months, the entire country was under Imperial control. A few nations in Africanna were invaded. On 2 July 2025, the Guadosalam Federation declared war on the Archadian Federation, its former ally and Archadia was then dragged into the conflict. Ingelmia on the other hand took over the Bellhals Free State and began an invasion of New Akiba, which was repulsed after months of fighting. In Zemuria, Aurucolia and Jutland-Gimli were subjected to several attacks on all sides. Despite Aurucolia's internal strife, the two nations managed to keep lands intact. In the Erebonian Empire, it was simultaneously attacked on two fronts, with the Calvardian forces from the east and the Imperial forces from the south.
However in Asianna, the Chalcedony Empire dominated vast tracts of the Middle East and East Asianna. Joyonghea and Taoyuan stood alone against the Imperial threat but were able to maintain connection with the Pacificanna Routes, maintaining a smooth flow of supplies. The Guinea Islands faced Ingelmian forces in Ingelmian Micronesia. By July 2027, the Empire occupied the southern portion of Lorica, effectively cutting East Lorica from the rest of the Allies and launched a massive invasion of both Bethausia and Quenmin. As with its experience in the UK, the Empire failed to complete its conquest.
The war also saw the crack between the Allied powers become more evident, as both the Neocon Council and the Heimdallr Council broke away and formed their own respective alliances. While the Neocons supported the Republic of East Europa, Heimdallr supported the Gneisenau Circle, which eventually formed the Democratic East Europan Union. The two sides would continue to wage war with each other alongside the war against the Imperial forces, which finally ended with the last of the pro-Maximillianist forces surrendering. However, the war itself would precipitate into the Neocon War, which saw the two Allied sides vie for dominance over Europa, Asianna, and Amerigonna.
