The Revolutionary Mechanical States of Eleutheria (Tyurigin: Rebolusyonem Machina Regio yi Eleutheria) is a nation that resides in central Eleutheria.

Etymology

The title Revolutionary Mechanical States was made in the aftermath of the Third Seibalathian Civil War, with the Pilak armies victorious. It's title was proclaimed during Emperor Ilyanich's speech in Desteryo.

History

The Rise of the Revolutionary Mechanical States of Eleutheria

"Our lives will soon be wasted away in the battlefield... but the very least we can do is to make sure the dream keeps living on."

— Commander-in-Chief P-081H "Etequan", Speech after the Third Seibalathian Civil War

Though initially, the Erelim had the upperhand through mind-controlling people with divine magic. Only the Pilaks, robots constructed by the Ceolanese Faurolveit National, were resistant to the Erelim's miracles. The war had led into the destruction of the Imperya at the hands of the the Pilaks, finally having secured their independence from "heaven", and the sentencing of many Erelim to reportedly "have their wings plucked, and halos chain them into the earth below." Nobody knows what this punishment actually meant, but long decades of suffering for the angels ensued.

This was done under the brilliant direction of Commander-in-Chief P-081H, who is fondly referred to as "Etequan" by his subordinates. Their ability to command effectively, remain free of corruption, and provide competent leadership has propelled the corps to the forefront of fame across the Republic of Ceolan, which at the time was in the process of commissioning millions of Pilaks. The first of them would be known as the armies of Noir, Yangtai, Lythas, and Lokhid, which would be designated as the 2nd to 6th Corps, respectively.

When the Red Liberation Front took control of northern Seibalath in 2210 and the anti-modernist Saaltzun, an innumerable number of Pilaks were formed to take up arms against the opponents of the independent Seibalathian states, this sparked the beginning of the Third Seibalathian Civil War. After a significant amount of time had passed, Commander-in-Chief Etequan made an effort to negotiate peace with the rebels so that they could settle in their own states. This plan was heavily opposed by the council, and as a result, he was ambushed by a death squad while he was in the woods. Not long after that, his remains were found, and the perpetrator was attributed to the rebels.

But his subordinates knew more, and in the weeks that followed, General Ilyanich, declared open rebellion in vengeance against the organics that had murdered their brother in cold blood. Many soon followed his footsteps to overthrow the corrupt confederacy, gathering within the fortress-city of Desteryo. The first victims of his cry for vengeance were the Faurolveit engineers who had desperately attempted to shut them down. In the course of the years-long conflict, one-third of Seibalath was completely decimated as a result of chemical weapons being used by both sides, highly-advanced herbicides developed by the 1st FSC and used along the north, and the forced eruption of the Tohlaka Volcano by the mages of Sirsensal, which transformed the once-fertile lands of Hudyaria into the ash-lands.

In the end, the Pilaks gained a decisive victory over the Seibalathian states, and Commander-in-Chief Ilyanich was crowned Emperor as the hero of the Third Seibalathian Civil War. However, this victory was not without any losses. The struggle resulted in the destruction of a significant number of culture, forever lost to time, and the Pilaks were reduced to only to twenty percent of their original population. Ilyanich, sought, in spite of all the suffering that had occurred during the war, vowed to once again mend the broken pieces of the nation. And with it, the Revolutionary Mechanical States of Eleutheria (RMS-E.) was formed.

The Desteryo Coup

Senwa Nijuuyon is a clone of the late Lunya Nijuuyon. The leader of the Cultural Protection Initiative, a government agency formed by Emperor Ilyanich to preserve human culture. She manipulated the disorder in RMS that directly followed its formation, through both bringing international support and funding dissent, managing to seize control of the government via the Desteryo Coup. Selerikh, a clone of Ilyanich who was Senwa's collaborator, was installed in place of the Emperor that was then in-exile to Meria.

Directly after the Desteryo Coup. the Red Liberation Front (RLF) had began to once again accumulate power, influence over the discontent populations of Seibalath that wished to shake off the yoke of the Pilaks. Following OSMA (Organic Safety Monitoring Agency)'s genocide of the Solist minorities, the RLF had declared war on RMSE with the intention to topple the ruling government, and form a Socialist Republic of all Seibalathians.

Geography

Life is completely devastated following years of high-intensity conflict and the eruption of the Tohlaka Volcano. Its lands lie in waste, forever poisoned toxic substances. The landscape is covered in meters of volcanic ashes and chemicals, no longer habitable by the future generations other than the Pilaks who have made it their new home.

It also happens to be the ground zero of Melkira's Curse, having extremely high amounts of background Vitraiika radiation. As a result, many aberrations infest the ashlands, distorted by the non-corporeal energy from beyond the veil. Long-range communications is a near impossibility here without the usage of wired connections, sensors tracking nonexistent landmarks and signals, and magic can be extremely dangerous with mana contamination.

Government

The government in this nation follows the ideology of Totalitarian Machinism, where all are but cogs in the machine of the "state-engines", cities stylized as concentration camps where both Pilak and man have their lives monitored at every watch. They are ruled over by the forces of the titular Eclipsean Guard, remnants of the royal guard of House Seredya and then House Nijuuyon. Chaldris Nijuuyon rules as the Lord-Regent of the RMS-E, awaiting the day the fabled post-singularity machine "Visus Dei" would bring about the age of paradise. Below them is the Council of Officers, a legislative house consisting of all commissioned officers of the Eclipsean Guard.

Economy

The RMS-E is an autarky, and as a result is economically backwards to even the likes of the Lunar Confederacy. Foreign contact is illegal under Lord-Regent Chaldris' executive decrees. Most of the national production is intended for self-consumption, with some interactions being made with the Umbrai blackmarkets to acquire necessities not producible within RMS-E.

Education and technology

Machinist education is one of Kalrania's most regimentalized institutions, with children following a standard 24/7 upbringing from their conception as a machine to the very end of their vocational education. It takes years for a Pilak to fully develop one's sentience, a time-span similar to a human's journey to their teenage years.

Demographics

Culture

Religion

While primarily an atheist state, the Revolutionary Mechanical States of Eleutheria religiously follows the tenets of Totalitarian Machinism. There is a widespread devotion to a god-that-is-yet-to-exist, the Visus Dei, a hypothetical post-singularity god-machine that will rule over the universe following its inevitable creation. It is rumored that the RMS-E is attempting to embark on its creation by some escaped Pilaks.
