The Mining Federation Army is a private, automated defense force maintained by the Mining Federation to protect its valuable shipments from piracy, assure security on its company worlds, and enforce pressure on systems late on payments.

Consisting almost entirely of wardroid forces, few in the Galactic Union have understanding of how powerful the army is, and those who do know are paid handsomely to look the other way, resulting in peaceful civilizations and worlds without military defenses becoming easy targets for invasions by the Mining Federation.
