The Hallandic Armed Forces, also known as Commonwealth Armed Forces, are the military forces of the State of Halland. They are composed of the Army, the Navy, the Marines and the Air Force. The Armed Forces are responsible for the defence of Halland and the promotion of its geopolitical interests internationally. Additionally, they partake in various humanitarian relief efforts all across the world. The President of Halland is commander-in-chief and administration is jointly administered by the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The Joint Chiefs of Staff are composed of the President, the Minister of Defence, the Chiefs of Staff of each of Halland's four arms, a Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and a Vice-Chairman. Contrary to popular belief, the Hallandic Coast Guards are not part of the Armed Forces, instead being administered by the Ministry of Interior.
