Beatavic (Dutch: Nederlaag), officially the Republic of Beatavic (Dutch: De republiek van de nederlaag), is a nation located in Euronia bordering the North Samson Ocean to the east, [1] to the south, Tunio to the north and the rest is unclaimed land. It consists of 11 provinces, and is ruled by Prime Minister Marlijn Zallandt. The federal capital is Gran Telea and the most populous city is Amstelvoort
Modern day Beatavic was first settled by The Cheyenne who emigrated from an area north of Modern day Beatavic approximately 13,000-15,000 years ago. Colonization began in the 1500's. From what historians know, the nation that ruled over modern day Beatavic was most likely had a totalitarian government. Problems among those who settled the colony included high taxes, and oppressive policies. In 1530 the citizens of this colony would raid Fort Moulijn and took at much weapons as they could. As soon as they got weapons, they would start a civil war that would last for a year. After that, they would decide to go north which would be known as The Northern Expedition, discovering and establishing 3 provinces, including Brederningen, Rouppe and Lisga. Shortly they would discover Ozeanoaldea, in 1604 Līdzenums was discovered. In 1613 Oftges and Dunval were discovered. In 1697 Morzine and Senez were discovered, finally in 1802 the rest of Modern Day Beatavic was discovered, bringing an end to The Northern Expedition lasting 101 years.
In 1948 Beatavic would enter it's worst economic disaster, with 3/4 jobs lost and 14% would go homeless and even forced Eldert Groen to resign, prompting a special election. Koen Cerfontain won the special election and lifted 5% of people out of homelessness while creating 500,000 jobs, mainly in Infrastructure. In 1949 Beatavic would be involved in The World War, creating 300,000 war jobs, which lifted the nation from an economic depression and lifting an additional 4,000,000 people out of poverty.
Beatavic is a Federal parliamentary constitutional republic. The nation's head of state is the prime minister who holds the power to authorize special elections. The country has been in Independent Coalition of Nations since May 4th, 1993 and has no intention of leaving any time soon.
Etymology
The origin of the name of Beatavic is unclear although the name dates back to when Telea tribe used the word Béátóvic, although the meaning is disputed. Some say it means friendship while others say it means ocean.
History
Prehistoric
It is generally accepted that indigenous people migrated to Modern day Senez and Morzine. Some sources suggest an earlier date of arrival although it is agreed that indigenous people arrived in Morzine and Senez in 400,000 BC.
