History
Background
Founding
The ICN was founded in March of 1984 by the Slavic Union, Estoca, and Birat to combat foreign influence by major nations. The Republic of Beatavic joined in May 1993. Egilanak joined in 1994. Niswibik joined in 2000. In May 2014 Larinthia joined. In March 2021 Mayotte joined the ICN, a few months after seceding from Zamastan, but left in June of 2021 due to disagreements surrounding involvement in Birat.
Economy
ICN member states have a policy of economic cooperation, allowing for much easier trade between them. For years the nation of Zamastan put heavy economic sanctions on Estoca and the ICN's economic policies were one of the few things keeping the Estocan economy from collapsing. There have been past proposals for a universal ICN currency, but so far none have been successful. The ICN has also funded various projects in member states.
Structure
The ICN's governing body is the I.C.N Congress, which has final say over all proposals and is presided by the Secretary General of the I.C.N Congress. Other organs of the ICN include the I.C.N Economic and Social Council and the I.C.N Security Council.
