Tankolympics II is a 2017 Lucian romantic-comedy film. The sequel to Tankolympics; It was re-directed by Inertia award winning director Henry Luttich, produced by Sam Saitochi and written by Reiko Kusabe. The cast from the previous film reprised their roles that included Darzana Magbaredge, Richard Philip Todd, Kaoru Mizusaki and Yuki Kaizuka. Akino Terai was newly casted after she replaced Saori Suzushiro due to her knee injury. The main plot follows the Alexander's team as they aim for the second cup with Rudolph trying to take revenge after his loss from the previous cup.

The film grossed 303 million Gil, almost surpassing its prequel. It received a 4.5 out of 5 markings in Spinning Onions and became the second commercially successful film of 2017. A sequel is planned with most of the cast reprising their roles.

Plot

Cast

  • Darzana Magbaredge as Suzanne Leinhart, Alexander's gunner on the Comet, She attempts to take her and Alexander's relationship to the next level as they compete in her second cup.
  • Richard Philip Todd as Alexander Wayne, From being an arrogant to a kind-hearted and generous man, He falls in love with Suzanne but is somehow awkward whenever the four girls would go to him. His hatred on Rudolph grew because of his cheap tactics. He commands a Lucian Comet tank, which is later replaced by a Zanarkian Centurion tank after the Comet suffers an engine damage.
  • Akino Terai as Lena Newkirk, She is Suzanne's cousin from New Akiba who joins with her cousin to see what she has been up to. She becomes the radio operator and like Suzanne, falls in love with Alexander and like Cattleya, is clumsy but called cute by Alexander. She is the film's main tsundere character.
  • Kaoru Mizusaki as Louise Evans, Suzanne's best friend. She is the driver of the Comet tank. She wishes to have a dinner for two with Alexander once they win the second cup.
  • Yuki Kaizuka as Cattleya Evans, Louise's young and clumsy cousin. She is the loader of the tank. She is called as the cheerleader of the crew. She cheers up people after Alexander had told him to make everyone smile. She wishes to spend her time with Alexander in the cherry blossom festival after the second cup.
  • Vashyron Constantine as Rudolph Weiss. The films antagonist and seeks revenge for his loss from the previous cup. He pilots the Imperial Tiger II tank.
  • Ryuk Chang-min as Han Jong-hwa, a Joyonghean tanker and Alexander's friend.
  • Waldemar Fegelein as Henri Smits, a Erebonian tanker. Alexander's right man. He pilots the Theimer Firefly.
  • Cid Raines as Erwin Schwartz, One of the two of Rudolph's henchmen. He is the smartest but always blames Schultz for his failures, calling him a "dummkopf". He pilots an Imperial Panther tank.
  • Frank Briggs as Hans Schultz, Rudolph's other henchmen. He is Rudolph's bumbling, inept and somewhat dimwitted, but affable if not lovable rotund 300-pound henchman. He is mostly the center of the film's gags and is mostly blamed by Erwin for his failures, calling him a "dummkopf of the film". He has the habit of saying and repeating "I hear nothing, I see nothing, I know nothing!" whenever he is apprehended. He pilots an Imperial Panzer IV tank.
  • Avan Hardins as George Van de Berg, a Gallian tanker, He is Henri's right tankman. He pilots a Lucian version of the Gallian M10 Tank Destroyer.
  • Edward Carlyle as George Smith, An announcer in the Second Tankolympics Cup along with his friend, William.
  • Werner Fegelschwann as William Schwimmerman, A Gallian announcer, He along with William are announcers in the Tankolympics.
