The Vale, also known as the Region of the Vale, is a region within southern Averius.

Etymology

The Vale, as a name originally comes from the Kingdom of the Vale, which directly preceded the Empire of Averius, as well as the geographic region it is located within.

Population

Vale has a population of 10 million people. Of the 35 million population, about 40.33% live in cities of 50,000 or more in population. Of the remaining 20.885 million, about 10 million live in towns of under 50,000 in population. The remaining 11.575 million live on farms, plantations, or small farming communities.

Of the population, 80% are able to work, while 20% are too young or unqualified to do so. The Averius has an average of 1% population growth rate per year and 10% per decade.

Agriculture

The Vale region of the Empire has 600,000 km2 of farmland, used mostly to grow crops such as including wheat, corn, cabbage, squash, watermelon, apples, raspberries, strawberries, and more. This allows farms to feed up to 300 million people. As a result, Agriculture contributes A$3 billion to the region's GDP.

Manufacturing

The Vale region of the Empire is the location of much of the nation's manufacturing. As a result of this, Manufacturing contributes A$500 million to the region's GDP.

With the average per capita energy consumption being about 10 MWh per year, the Foxia region consumes 100 TWh of electricity, which is serviced by 4 nuclear powerplants producing up to 175.2 TWh of electricity. With the average per capita water use being about 146,000 liters per year, the Foxia region uses about 1.5 trillion liters of water (1.5 billion m3), which is serviced by various facilities drawing and filtering water from the Great Imperial Lake.
